Luclare Murphy

Luclare (Stuart) Murphy, 86, passed away at her home in Greenfield, Indiana on January 18, 2024. Luclare was born on December 3, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Howard and Bertha Stuart.

Luclare went to Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, then to Indiana University. She worked as a flight attendant for TWA and that was where she met David Murphy, who was an air traffic controller. They later married, and to that union were born two children, Timothy and Anne.

Luclare loved running her business and being the owner of Murphy's Drapery Service in Greenfield, Indiana. She loved sewing, watching NASCAR races, and collecting antiques, which she hung and displayed all over the walls of her home. She also loved taking trips to Melbourn, Florida, on the Atlantic Coast. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Luclare leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Timothy (Mandy) Murphy; daughter, Anne (Nick) Miller; four grandchildren, Nicholas Miller, Corey (Katie) Miller, Holly Miller and Sloane Murphy; three great-grandchildren, Mila, Demi, and Sterling; one sister, Nancy Sprunger.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband, David Murphy, and her bother Bill Stuart.
