Lucy Smith

Lucy Smith, age 81, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away on May 1, 2020 at Greenfield Healthcare. She was born on July 17, 1938, in Spring Creek, Ky to the late John Hobbs & Cleo Hobbs. Lucy married the love of her life, Manual Smith, in 1968. Lucy was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church. She spent her career as a small business owner of Smith's Marathon until her retirement. Lucy enjoyed painting and cooking as the owner of several restaurants. But more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her precious family who she loved dearly. Left to cherish Lucy's memory are her children; Cleo (Michael) Walker & David (Darlene) Hobbs, 5 grandchildren; Samantha (Steven) Huston, Jason Walker, Zachary Walker, John David (Deanna) Hobbs & Heather (Josh) Lipe, great-grandchildren; Astrid, Grace, Ethan, Nixon & Kenzi, 2 sisters; Rosetta Swafford & Bessie Coulter, 2 brothers; Don & Hughie Hobbs, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lucy is proceeded in death by her parents listed above, her husband Manual and several brothers and sisters.
