Mabel R. Bixler

Mabel R. Bixler, 91 of Greenfield, passed away August 3, 2020. She was born December 3, 1928 in Greenbrier, Missouri to the late Stephen and Susan (Retherford) Gould. She was a graduate of Zalma High School in Missouri and moved to Indiana to assist in the opening of the Finance Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison. After leaving the Finance Center, she spent many years as an Avon Representative in Greenfield and was a long-time member of the Greenfield Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Bixler and her siblings; George Gould, Levi Gould, Calvin Gould, Thomas Gould, Jr., Thelma Seel, and Margaret Burchett. She is survived by her children; Fred (Sherrie) Bixler, II of Charlottesville, Cathy (Jeff) Jones of Greenfield, Margie Jackson of Carmel, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered by her family for her love and devotion. At the request of the Bixler Family, services and burial will be private. The Bixler Family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of The Legacy at Springhurst for their wonderful care and love for Mabel.
