Maggie Estelle Moore

Maggie Estelle Moore August 2, 1924 - May 6, 2014 Maggie Estelle Moore went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the 6th day of May, 2014. Born August 2, 1924 in Lawrence County, TN. to Grady S. and Mollie A. (Pirkle) Jester. She married Troy L. Rodgers in 1942 and after his death in 1956 Maggie was married to Troy J. Moore in 1958. Retired from the Greenfield Head Start Program in 2010 where she worked as a foster grandparent. She was known as "Grandma Maggie". Prior to Head start Maggie worked for the Greenfield Central Schools, Lincoln Park Cafeteria from 1974 until 1991. She was a charter member and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Greenfield. Survived by son Howard (Donna) Rodgers, daughter in law Diana Rodgers (widow of son Harold), daughter Dorris (Don) Leonard, son Dave (Pam) Rodgers, son Jim (Cathy) Moore, son Jack Moore, sister Peggy Souders, 20 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Maggie is preceded in death by both parents, both husbands, step mother Orilla Jester, son Harold, brother Theodore, brother Doyle, sister Jane Beatty, sister Imogene Orr and 2 great grandsons Connor and Jake. Friends may call Friday, May 9 from 4 to 8 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 1450 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN. Services will be 11 am, Saturday, May 10th at the church with Pastor Roger Kinion officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
