Makala Marie Pendley

Makala Marie Pendley, 30, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026. She was born on April 30, 1996, in Marietta, Georgia.

Makala enjoyed spending time with her family and making the most of every moment together. One of her favorite pastimes was having singing battles with her mother and sister. She also loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit places including Alaska, Tennessee, Georgia, Colorado, and Mexico. While she enjoyed seeing new places, the most important part of her life was her family. She was a devoted mother to her seven children, whom she loved deeply, and she took great pride in raising and caring for. Her love for her children was evident in everything she did, and they were always at the center of her life.

She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Davis; her father, Elmer Pence; her siblings, Maurica Lambert, Michael Davis Jr., Mena Davis, Paris Pence, and Briley Pence; her grandfather, Steven Lambert; her step-grandmother, Connie Lambert; her grandmother, Sharolyn Hawes; her step-grandfather, Jack Hawes; Niece, Willow Marie; Nephew, Timothy Nate; and her seven children, Nicola, Joseph, Aubriella, Orion, Earthum, Polaris, and Azreal Butler.

She was preceded in death by her cousins, Jacinda and Ernest Sneed, Steven Matlock, and David Tyler.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Hendryx Chapel, 11636 E. Washington Street, Cumberland, Indiana 46229. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with family officiating. Final resting place will be determined later by family.
