Margaret R. Abel

Margaret R. Abel, 61, of Greenfield, fought a courageous battle with cancer, but passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her residence with family by her side. Margaret was born on February 3, 1959 in Indianapolis. She celebrated 35 years of marriage with her husband, Ronald F. Abel. Margaret was a tremendously loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed. She loved to camp, read, fish, cook, arrange floral arrangements, and attend flea markets. She was also a former member of the Greenfield Moose Lodge. Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Ron Abel; their blended family of children: Shawn Rhodes, Keith Rhodes, Nick Rhodes, Michael Abel, Ron Abel, and Paul Abel; 12 awesome grandchildren; and siblings: Larry Grable and Mary Grable. Margaret was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Jean and John Grable. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN.
