Margaret Doughty

Margaret "Meg" Doughty March 4, 1919 - April 24, 2014 Margaret (Meg) Doughty, age 95, passed away April 24, 2014. She was born March 4, 1919 in Pendleton, Indiana to the late Jesse and Mary (Hiatt) Stoner. She graduated from Pendleton High School and attended the Anderson Business College. She was a farmers wife, a bookkeeper and basket weaver, as well as being a member of the Earth Weavers. She attended Park Chapel Church and enjoyed many crafts and sharing them with her family and friends. Margaret is survived by her children; Philip Doughty of Pendleton, Margery Ratliff of Greenfield, and Richard (Karen) Doughty of Tennessee, Sisters; Loueva Hagemier and Helen (Lynn) Stanley, 7 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great- Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Doughty, of 66 years. They were married on November 6, 1937, Brothers; Horace Stoner and Laurel Stoner, Sister; Kathleen Wetzel, Great-Granddaughter Jessica Barnhart. Friends may call Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 2-6 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN, 46140. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2014 at the funeral home. Pastor David Woods will officiate.
