Margaret Laverne (Dirr) Fentz, 73, of Greenfield, IN, passed away in Indianapolis, on Friday, October 23, 2020 with family by her side. Margaret was born on October 14, 1947 in Indianapolis to Charles W. and Jean (Norton) Dirr.
Margaret worked for The Kroger Company for 38 years in management before retiring. She loved to bake, read, and listen to Christian music. She enjoyed vacationing in Arizona as well as Florida. She worshiped the Lord and was a member of the Vineyard Community Church of Mt. Comfort for many years.
Margaret is survived by her loving children: Timothy C. (Sandra) Lauk and Kimberly I. (Matthew C.) Belcher; step-son, Mark Fentz; 5 amazing grandchildren: Brittney (Jason) Skaggs, Kylee (Wes) Bolin, Kameron (Ashley) Lauk, Brianna (Armando) Hernandez, and Korri Lauk; 6 special great-grandchildren; siblings: Charles William "Billy" (Sharon) Dirr, Cathie Gazaway, and Jeannie (Roy) Wilson; and many special church family members.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Charles William Dirr; mother, Jean Weidmann; first husband and father of her children, David V. Lauk; second husband, Edward Fentz; and brothers-in-law: Leroy Gazaway and Jerry Lauk.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Vineyard Community Church of Mt. Comfort, 1672 N 600 W, Greenfield, IN 46140. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., also at the church, officiated by both Pastor Rick Francis and Margaret's son-in-law, Matthew C. Belcher.
