Margaret "Marge" Rose (Runnebohm) Long

Margaret Rose (Runnebohm) Long was born on December 4, 1932, in Shelbyville, the daughter of John L. and Rose (Cord) Runnebohm. On June 19, 1965, she married Donald L. Long, and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2023.

Margaret (Marge) is survived by her daughter, Christine Williams, Greenfield, son, Larry A. (Tony) Held, spouse Carol, Moreno Valley, CA, son, Robert D. (Doug) Held, spouse Terri, Greenfield, IN, daughter, Cheryl A. Wood, spouse Chris, Indianapolis, IN, daughter, Marcia R. Moore, spouse Edgar, Greenfield, IN, daughter, Donna L. Butler, spouse Stephen, Greenfield, IN; brothers, Nick Runnebohm and Steve Runnebohm, spouse Karen, both of Shelbyville, IN; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband, Marge was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herb Runnebohm, Robert Runnebohm, and Danny Runnebohm; and sisters, Mary Hauk, Virginia Vrooman, Alice Cossairt, and Janice Crane.

Marge enjoyed life! Don and Marge were members of St. Michael Catholic Church traveling to many fish fries and chicken dinners. They belonged to Riley Wrangler's Square Dance group and the YMCA. After retirement from Westinghouse Corporation, she remained active by making roseries for the church and participating with her friends in the Women's Red Hat Society. Marge also enjoyed bird watching, reading, and gardening.

The family would like to thank Morristown Manor for such loving and tender care of Marge.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the funeral service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. with Father Jenkins officiating.
