Margaret Jane (Reddick) White, 98, Greenfield, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, March 21, 2025. Margaret was born on December 6, 1926, in her family's home in Mays, IN, to Corte and Lillian (Clark) Reddick. She is a 1944 graduate of Greenfield High School. She married the love of her life, Harold T. White, on June 11, 1960.
Margaret was a feisty, lovable woman. She loved to bird watch, turn ordinary sweatshirts into wearable works of art, paint and create crafts, work in the yard, and watch western movies as well as Fox News on TV. She and Harold often traveled, spent winters in Florida, and enjoyed camping and fishing. She was a member of Psi-Iota-Xi Sorority, the Maxwell Eastern Star Auxiliary Chapter, and Greenfield Christian Church. Margaret was a church secretary for Warren Hills Christian Church for many years. She was employed as a service representative with Prudential Insurance for 17 years, retiring in 1985. She lived and experienced a long, great life.
Margaret is survived by her loving children: Rebecca (Michael) Bryan, Jackie Steinmetz, and Kathryn Ruster; 6 grandchildren: Matthew (Lana) Bryan, Stephen (Nicole) Bryan, Dan (Stacy) Stach, Kim Steinmetz, Doug (Krystal) Ruster, and Darci (Michael) Kamp; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces, Marci Reddick and Lisa Cangany.
She was preceded in death by her father, Corte Reddick; mother, Lillian Reddick Stanley; husband of 47 years, Harold White; brothers, Max Reddick and Weldon Reddick; sister, Theresa Rossell; two nephews; and one niece.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenfield Christian Church, 23 North East Street, Greenfield, IN 46140.
