Marian Marie (Lauerman) Fegal McArtor, 64, Greenfield, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Community Hospital, Anderson. Marian was born on March 6, 1959, in Weirton, West Virginia, to Ralph Frank and Amelia Charlotte (Larch) Lauerman. Marian graduated with an associate degree from West Virginia Northern Community College.
Marian was a single mother to two children who also worked full time and went to school full time. Her exceptional grades landed her on the Dean's/President's List while attending college. As the children were growing up, she made sure not to miss any of her daughter's softball practices nor games, nor any of her son's wrestling and football practices nor games. She was also President of the Weirton Little Steelers and active in the PTA. Marian was generous with her time. Her children will remember her as instilling values and love for them to carry on for all occasions. Marian worked as a supervisor for Tipton Center, a behavioral center for children/young adults in Weirton for 10 years. After moving from Weirton to Greenfield, Marian sought work at Walmart and the Hope House. On April 26, 2008, she married Ronald Roy McArtor. She would soon blend her family to his, as she accepted his children. As her son, another independent single dad, had his child, Marian was soon to support her activities by attending her dance recitals and concerts. Marian loved seeing her children and grandchild excel. She would spend as much time with them as possible. Marian was a tremendously loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband Ron of 15 years; her children, Heather Fegal and Andrew Fegal; step-children: Ronelle (Kevin) Thompson, Trent (Missy) McArtor, and Janelle (Jason) Bailey; granddaughter, Hailey Fegal; 10 step-grandchildren; siblings: Gloria Politi, Eleanor (Tom) Walker, and Phil (Janet) Lauerman; sister-in-law, Gail Lauerman; and many nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Lauerman, Sr.; mother, Amelia Lauerman; brother, Ralph Lauerman, Jr.; and a step-grandchild.
