Marian Frances Ramsey, age 94 passed away on September 13th 2016 at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation in Greenfield. She was born on October 5th 1921 in Shelby County to the late Charles S. and Avis (Kemper) Havens.
Marian attended Morristown High School and would marry the love of her life Robert Ramsey on October 13th 1937. Marian spent her life working for Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance in Indianapolis for 20 years until her retirement in 1987. She attended the Gwynnville Christian Church and was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star & Rebecca Lodge, Morristown Chapter. She was active in the White Water Valley Railroad and the Pioneer Engineers Club. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving Marian is her son, James E. Ramsey of Auburndale, FL; daughters, Donna (Wayne) Platt of Daleville, IN; Norma Wells of Greenfield; Carol Caudill of Maxwell; 12 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, 23 great-grandchildren, several great great-grandchildren and many other grandchildren who she loved dearly.
Preceding her in death are her parents listed above; husband, Robert S. Ramsey; daughter, Doris Daniel; brothers, Harold, Nolan, and Charles Havens; sister, Carol Creighton; sons-in-law, Dale G. Daniel, Thomas Caudill, Quentin E. Wells; daughter-in-law, Pauline Ramsey; Grandson, Keith E. Brogan.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 17th 2016 at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the service at Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Rush County.
