Marie Candace Wright

Marie Candace Wright, 34, fought an extremely courageous battle against cancer before her passing on September 24, 2022. Marie was born on March 24, 1988, in Greenfield to Larry Wayne and Mary Lorraine (Brickles) Wright. She is a 2007 graduate of Greenfield Central High School. Marie also attended the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville where upon she wanted to pursue a degree in psychology.

Marie worked as a cashier for all of Greenfield's Speedway gas stations and convenience stores as well as the one in Knightstown for over 10 years. She loved arts and crafts and excelled in planning parties. She enjoyed crocheting, watching anime, and baking deserts. Her favorite holiday was Halloween. But above all, she enjoyed spending time with family.

Marie is survived by her loving mother, Mary Wright (Brad Hewson); loving father, Larry Wright (Angie Hatcher); siblings: Katherine (Travis) Yazzie, Brandon Wright, Lane Hewson (Kynzie Richardson), Nicholas Hatcher, and Lance Hatcher; grandparents: Eva & James Bullock, Paul Brickles, Mary Crank, and Debbie & Mike Hewson; great-grandma, Fritzie Hewson; many aunts and uncles; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ash Raven Burns; grandpa, Paul Crank; and nephews, Oaklee Hewson and Mundoo Yazzie.

As Marie was an event planner, she partook in planning her own services. She requests that her family and friends gather for visitation on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, and for the service at 12:00 noon, officiated by Pastor Joshua Jacobs.
