Marilyn Sue "Susie" (Holliday) Holmes

Marilyn Sue "Susie" (Holliday) Holmes, 89, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Morristown Manor. Susie was born on November 20, 1932, in Wilkinson, IN, to Paul and Dorothy (Spegal) Holliday. She married her love Richard Dale Holmes on June 18, 1950. Susie was a stay-at-home wife and mom and truly enjoyed her roles as mom, homemaker, and cheerleader for all her kids' school activities and sporting events. She enjoyed trips as well as traveling to different destinations with family. She loved completing word searches as well as watching soap operas. She was also employed as a hostess with Jim Dandy. She was a member of Friends' Church. Susie is survived by her loving children: Mike (Joyce) Holmes, Phillip D. Holmes (Jeannette Johnson), Tim Harmon, and Bill (Linda) Holmes; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 3 great-greatgrandchildren; siblings: Ruth Barnhart and Steve Holliday; and sister-in-law, Joan Payne. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Holmes; and daughters: Brenda Harmon and Cathy Covington. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 26, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Park Cemetery.
