Marion Sumner Wells March 14, 1927 - September 4, 2012 Marion Sumner Wells, 85 of Greenfield passed away on Tuesday September 4, 2012 at Golden Living Center Brandywine. He was born on March 14, 1927 in Benton County, Indiana the son of the late Charles Oscar and Mabel Violet (Bruce) Wells. He was a retired elementary school teacher for the Greenfield Central School Corporation for 34 years at Weston and Riley schools. A 57 year member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Greenfield; where he was a song leader and lay member to the annual conference. He was a member of the Hancock Lodge # 101 F&AM of Greenfield. Marion served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. He is survived by his wife Mary Louise (Kraus) Wells of Greenfield, sons, Randall (Rita) Wells of Greenfield, Kenneth (Dee) Wells of Washington, IN, and James Wells of New Albany, daughters, Anita (Alden) Taylor of Indianapolis and Karen (Jeffrey) Kaster of Westford, Ma. Step-daughter, Judith (Larry) Turner of Greenfield. 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy May (Strickler) Wells and 5 siblings and step- daughter Suzanne Johnson Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 8, 2012 at the Stillinger Family Funeral Home Pasco Chapel, with Masonic Services. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Park Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church of Greenfield.
