Marjorie Hollenbaugh Roberts June 6, 1915 - December 14, 2011 Marjorie (Reason) Hollenbaugh Roberts passed away Wednesday December 14, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born on June 6, 1915 in Center Township, Hancock County to the late Hastan and Myrtle (Frazier) Reason. She graduated from Maxwell High School in 1933 and married Ora W. Hollenbaugh in 1938 at the South Street Methodist Church parsonage. To that union were born Donna Kay and Philip Roy. They attended South Street Methodist Church and helped with its becoming Trinity Park United Methodist Church. She was a life long active member of the church. She enjoyed her family, sewing, crafts, cooking and baking. She showed her love for her family and friends by making them gifts. She was a person of great inner strength and beauty, who taught her family many life skills. She was a 50 year member of Eastern Star, worked at Greenfield Title for 15 years and retired in 1978. Her first husband, Ora Hollenbaugh passed in 1961 and then married second husband, Leslie Roberts in 1968. After Oras death she purchased a small house in Weston Village in Greenfield of which was very proud. She was proud to say she lived there caring for herself until shortly before her death. Her family consisted of parents listed above; first husband, Ora Hollenbaugh; second husband; Leslie Roberts; brother, William H. (Lola); sister, Evelyn (Arthur); grandson, Rodney A. Merlau; son, Philip R. Hollenbaugh; daughter-in-law, Pamela Wicker Hollenbaugh, all of which preceded her in death Survivors include her daughter, Donna Merlau of Greenfield; son-in-law Raymond A. Merlau of Greenfield; grandson, Bryan P. Hollenbaugh of Greenfield; granddaughter, Lisa Morgan (John); grandson, Ryan Merlau; granddaughter-in-law, Shauna Rosenberger Merlau; five great-grandchildren, Petra (Kyle), Megan (Jonathan), Rachel (Michael), Kathryn and Zachary and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield in the family plot. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice Fund, 1560 B North State Street, Greenfield, IN 46140.
