Marjorie Ann Arthur Wampler

Marjorie Ann (Arthur) Wampler April 22, 1931 - January 15, 2007 Marjorie Ann (Arthur) Wampler, 75, of Greenfield, passed away Monday January 15, 2007 at her residence. She was born April 22, 1931 in Bloomington, IN to the late Ollie D. and Laura B. (Ray) Arthur. She was a 1949 graduate of Bloomington High School and taught Sunday school at First Assembly of God in New Castle for over 40 years. She enjoyed painting, writing poetry and being a Girl Scout Troup Leader. She was a member of the Knightstown Historical Society, Poet Club, and Democratic Party. She is survived by sons, Gary Brad Wampler of Knightstown, Kerry Wampler of Greenfield, Jeffery Wampler of Bloomington; daughters, Julia Martin of South Lawrence, MA, Rhonda Hummer of Bloomingtonm, Lee Ann Dolezal of Avilla, Katherine Wampler of Greenfield; brothers, Max Arthur, Dale Arthur, both of Bloomington; sisters, Phyllis Black of Fort Wayne, Carolyn Thickstun of Bloomington, Susie Siscoe of Greensburg; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by husband, Robert Lee Wampler of 53 years in 2003; brothers, Hollis Roy, Leland, Bob, Russell, Don Arthur and grandson, Ty Bridges. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday January 19, 2007 at First Assembly of God Church in New Castle, IN. with Rev. Stephen Galloway. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home, Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Shepherds Door.
