Mark Alan Hewitt

Mark Alan Hewitt, 69, New Palestine, passed away January 3, 2022, at his residence. He was born on October 17, 1952, in Indianapolis to the late Bert and Shirley (Dickie) Hewitt. He was a graduate of Arlington High School in Indianapolis. Mark was employed as the Vice President of IVC Industrial Coatings for many years before retiring in 2002. He was a former dive master. He enjoyed traveling and waterfront vacations. He loved to work outdoors and around the yard and could often be seen riding in his golf cart and/or on his lawnmower. He is survived by his loving wife Etta May (Cramer) Hewitt; children: Chris (Kristen) Hewitt, Kim (Channing) Russell, Scott (Jamie) Hewitt, Justin Maley, Jared Maley, and Kendra (David) Stelzel; 12 grandchildren; siblings: Mike (Becky) Hewitt, Linda (Gary) Rishel, and Lisa (Gerry) Pugh; many nieces and nephews; and many former work colleagues and friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the Celebration of Life Service to immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, local chapter, 7301 Georgetown Road, Ste. 112, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
