Marlene Fontaine March 20, 1934 - July 3, 2008
Marlene (Nay) Fontaine, 74, a lifelong resident of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008 at her residence.
She was born March 20, 1934 in Greenfield to the late Jean and Beatrice (Boring) Nay.
Marlene was a 1952 graduate of Greenfield High School and a 1956 graduate of Purdue University where she obtained a B.S. in Home Economics. She was owner/operator of Interiors by Marlene. Marlene was an honorary member of the Upsilon Chapter of Psi Iota Xi, Greenfield and served as President in 1964-65. She was a member of Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) since 1957 as well as Daughters of American Colonists (DAC) since 1983. She was also a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Miriam Chapter. Marlene enjoyed playing the dulcimer with the Dulcimer Connection. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Don Fontaine of Greenfield, whom she married November 29, 1958; sons, Michael (Lori) Fontaine of Greenfield, Mark (Becky) Fontaine of Greenfield, Tim (Karen) Fontaine of McCordsville; brother, John (Anita) Nay of Greenfield; eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David Nay.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call Monday, July 7, 2008 from 4:30 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Comments Our condolences to Don and their family. We are so glad we had the opportunity to have dinner together several weeks ago to share our school memories. Those were " wonderful times with Marlene and all our school friends. We will certainly miss her.
