Martha M. Beckenholdt December 27, 1915 - February 28, 2014 Martha M. Beckenholdt, 98, formerly of Greenfield, and resided at Westminster Village, Muncie passed away, Friday, February 28, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. Martha was born December 27, 1915 in Dearborn County, Indiana to the late John F. and Alice A. (Meyer) Beckenholdt. She was a graduate of Cowan High School and attended Ball State University. Ms. Beckenholdt was President of the Greenfield Gas Company, Inc. until her retirement in 1975. Prior employment was: McClellan Law Office in Muncie and Greenfield Gas Realty Company. She was very active in a multitude of organizations and she was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. Martha will be sadly missed by her family and community. She is survived by nieces and nephews; William (Anne) Amdor, Linda Bee, Jack (Diane) Meyer, Cheryl (Bob) Snyder, Annette (Monte) Waymire, Kathryn York, Randall (Jan) Cheesman, and Sue (Bruce) Dunn; brother-in-law, John Cheesman. Preceding her in death are her parents, her siblings; Louise Amdor, Adelaide Meyer, Theodore Beckenholdt and Reta Cheesman and nephews David Amdor and Stephen Beckenholdt. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Faith Lutheran Church, 200 West McKenzie Road, Greenfield with burial following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Officiating will be William D. OConnor. Friends and family may call Thursday, March 6, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church and an hour before services, Friday.
