Martha Ann Roseman

Martha Ann (Lowe) Roseman, Greenfield, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. She was born on March 14, 1930 in Indianapolis to James W. and Pearl Frances Lowe. She grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from St. Mary Academy in 1948. She married Joseph P. Roseman, Jr. on May 13, 1950 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Indianapolis. They were married for 52 years until his death in 2002. Martha worked in her teens at Wasson's Department Store in downtown Indianapolis. She also worked at American United Life Insurance Company from 1958 until her retirement in 1991. After retiring, Martha and her husband, Joe, also lived in Lake Placid, Florida, and attended St. James Parish. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church since 1974. She was an amazing cook, and she loved to dance, play cards and host family gatherings. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met, and she was loved by all those who were fortunate to know her. Martha was the loving mother of three children, Marcia (Blaine) Milner of Columbia, Maryland, Elyse (Bill) Rumely of New Palestine, Indiana, and Thomas (Paula Baldwin) Roseman of West Newton, Indiana. Martha was the ultimate proud Grandmother of her four Granddaughters, Martha Milner Boyce, Emily Roseman, Rachel Rumely and Sarah Rumely Noble. She was the Great Grandmother of Eleanor and Beatrice Boyce. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and their children and grandchildren, as well as her friend, Frank Parker. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, her parents, James and Pearl Lowe, her brothers, Walter Lowe and Joseph Lowe, and her sister, Rose Condon. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd, Greenfield, with visitation also at St. Michael before Mass from 8:30 to 10:00 am. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, Greenfield, IN, St. Meinrad Archabbey in St. Meinrad, IN, or Suburban Hospice, Inc., Greenfield, IN.
