Mary Ellen (Burns) Price

Mary E. (Burns) Price, 64, passed away in peace with her last moments being filled with memories of being surrounded by her sweet family and being read to by "her handsome" grandson. Mary was born on May 18, 1959, in Indianapolis, IN, to Ronald Duane and Frances Maxine (Newberry) Burns. She is a 1977 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School. Moments after graduation, she married her love Keith Ronald Price on June 3, 1977.

Mary met the love of her life while they both worked at a marina. Their love for water created many wonderful memories of boating, water skiing, water sports, and traveling. They loved traveling to Mrytle Beach, Florida, and out West. After 18 years of marriage and being on their own, they welcomed a daughter into the world. Samantha became their pride and joy. Sami recalls her mother as being her best friend. As family became Mary's focal point, she loved being around little ones, and tended work in different capacities at New Palestine Elementary. She was everyone's friend and retired in 2019 after health issues arose. Mary and Keith lived in rural Greenfield for 34 years.

Mary is survived by her loving husband Keith of 46 years; their daughter, Sami (Mitch) Reed; grandson, Oliver Hurt; beloved, Mac dog; sister, Linda (Mike) Cook; niece, Tia (Trent) Junga; nephew, Adam Cook; many sisters-in law and brothers-in-law; and best friends, Sue and Mike Shane.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Burns.
