Mary Hannah Hall September 13, 1927 - April 3, 2007
Mary Hannah Halls grandchildren sadly kissed and hugged her goodbye for one last time just before midnight on April 3, 2007. In her home there was a plaque that said "God cant be everywhere, so He made Grandmothers." She did confess to being a good grandma, and possibly a better grandmother than a mom. There are six grandchildren with fond memories and ten great-grandchildren. The extended family knows her as their favorite Aunt Mary. She strived to be extraordinarily ordinary, funny and friendly. We will miss her in the family. We know she will be missed in the neighborhood-at the library, dentist, doctors, grocery as she left them with a smile and a hug and sometimes some zucchini bread or cinnamon rolls. Born as Mary Hannah Welter, she married John Donald Hall she had two daughters Helen Hall of Noblesville and Beverly Andrews, deceased. Her working career on the Northside of Indianapolis included working at the Heritage Cafeteria and Shapiros Deli. Greenfield, Indiana was her place of birth in 1927. Ida Belle (Kingery) and John Welter were her parents. The youngest of ten children, she survived all of her brothers & sisters--Gladys Sapp, June Reeves, Robert Welter, Martha Farabee, Ora Welter, Omer Welter, Jim Welter, Charles Welter, and John Welter. She was a lifetime Eastern Star membership. Bowling, bridge, and reading were her pastimes. She worked the daily crossword to keep her mind sharp. Her legacy is truly the foundation she made for her grandchildrens lives. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2007 at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home Greenfield. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery. Friends may call 10a.m. - 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be at www.pasco-stillinger.com.
