I know it wasn't easy with my mom's death. Our prayers are with you! Love, Susan Cape and family " Susan Cape - November 21, 2011 at 04:54 PM I am Jan's sister and as a child, I spent some time in the summer with Jan and Howard Your mom and dad would watch me while Jan & Howard worked. Your mom " would fix me strawberries and I loved strawberries! Your dad would let me play on the piano. I don't think your mom liked the way I played, but he let me do it anyway! I am so sorry for your loss! Both of your parents were wonderful people! Howard was somone very special too! I remember the time he came home from work and I had plugged up the drain holes in his dump truck and filled it with water so I could swim. Lets just say he wasn't too happy with me!!!!! He was a wonderful man. I also remember pitting those cherries so we could have cherry pie--oh how I hated that! But Jan made the best pie!! Again, I am sorry for your loss.
