Mary L. Macy December 29, 1921 - January 5, 2012 Mary L. Macy age 90, a resident of Greenfield passed away Thursday January 5, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospice, Greenfield. She was born December 29, 1921 in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late W.O. and Essie (McCamon) Pope. She was a graduate of Maxwell High School and Indiana Business College. She was the Secretary and Treasurer for Hancock Developing and Supply for 60 years, retiring in 2008. She bred Great Danes and was well known in the dog show circuit. She loved to travel and spend time with her family at Lake LaSalle in Brown County and loved to play piano. She is survived by sons, William (Trudy) Macy of Greenfield, Jeffrey (Pat) Macy of Greenfield; brothers, Donald (Mary Lou) Pope of Gulf Shores, Al. , Larry (Charlotte) Pope of Fountain Town , In. ; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren She was preceded in by her husband, Philip Macy who passed away in 1960 and a brother, Harold Pope. A private family funeral service will be held Tuesday January 10, 2012 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
