Mary Rose (Jackson) Pope, age 101of Greenfield passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Springhurst Health Campus, Greenfield. Mary was born April 1, 1914 in Greenfield to the late Doc and Lula Mae (Wood) Jackson. She was a graduate of Maxwell, Indiana High School. She married Thomas H. Pope on October 21, 1934 in Morristown. She was a farmer and a homemaker. She also worked at Delco Remy, Eli Lilly and McCullers Meat Market. Mary enjoyed cooking, baking pies from scratch, horseback riding and camping with her husband. She was active in the Home Circle Club and Shelby County Western Riders. She is survived by son; Richard (Sheila) Jackson of Indianapolis, daughter; Vivian (Ted) Jackson-Harmon of Morristown, brother; Dick (Marlene) Jackson of Concord, NC, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; Thomas Pope, brothers; James Jackson, Robert (Bob) Jackson, Charles (Pete) Jackson and sister; Lena Mae (Babe) Cook. Friends may call 5-8 pm, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral service will be 10 am, Thursday, May 21 at the funeral home with burial following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
