Mary A Trees

Mary Agnes Trees 92, formerly of Greenfield, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at the Kahl Home, Davenport, Iowa. Mary Agnes Pontius was born January 23, 1923, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of Herbert and Frances (Mysker/Jones). She married James Carter Trees on February 27, 1943 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Muncie, IN. He died Dec. 20, 1991. Mary attended the Darby School of Fashion Design, Cleveland, OH. She was very involved in her childrens school and church activities at St. Joseph, Shelbyville, IN; Holy Spirit, Indianapolis, IN and St. Ephrem, Sterling Heights, MI. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Greenfield, IN. Mary was always especially happy to spend time with her family. Survivors include her daughters Carol Lynn Mateer, Fairland, IN, Janet Kay Fislar, Indianapolis, IN, and Lee Ann (Michael) Molnar, Oakland Twp., MI. Sons David William (Jacqueline) Trees, Walcott, IA, Joseph Mark (Lori) Trees, Sterling Heights, MI and Robert Paul Trees, Lemon Grove. CA. 26 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters. Sister: Carolyn Ann Osborn, Indianapolis, IN. Many nieces and nephews in Ohio, Indiana and California. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Joyce Ann Saladino; sons, James Thomas Trees and John Lawrence Trees; brother, Joseph Medsker; brother-in-law, Vic Osborn; son-in-laws, Donald Mateer, Daniel Poe and Larry Fislar; grandson, Jeremiah Thomas Molnar; great grandson, Patrick Colin Callaghan; granddaughters husband, Daniel Callaghan. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday March 14, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church 513 North Jefferson Greenfield. Burial will be in Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm. Friday March 13, 2015 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, and 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, where a rosary will be recited at 4:30.
