Mary E Whitaker

Mary E. Whitaker, age 77 of Greenfield passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospice. She was born March 10,1941 in Knott County, Ky to Alex and Manervia (McKee) Fugate. Mary married the love of her life, Marvin on December 21, 1961. She was an avid sports fan. She loved IU Basketball, Notre Dame Football, Colts, Pacers and all local teams. It was said she was a huge fan of Jeff Gordon, until he stopped winning races. She enjoyed spending time in the garden working with her flowers, and had a special recipe of feeding the Humming Birds. Mary is survived by her husband Marvin; sons, Michael Paul "Bub" (Sandy) Whitaker, Marvin Dewayne Whitaker and Danny (Kelly) Whitaker; two sisters, Shelvia Fugate and Norma Berry; brother Benny (Sue) Fugate; four grandchildren Ashley, Aaron, Brandie, Danessa and 7 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 4:00 7:00 pm Friday. November 16, 2018 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral services will be Saturday November 17, 2018 at 10:00 am with Katherine Murray officiating. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Greenfield immediately following the service.
