Mary Lou (Shreve) Wilhite, 81, of Greenfield (previously Indianapolis), arrived in this world on April 11, 1938 to Honnel Luther Shreve and Mary Alice (Colvin) Shreve Wheatley. She married the love of her life, Donald Ray Wilhite on January 1, 1961, and together they spent 58 years of marital bliss. Together they raised their five children.
She attended Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis; became a mother to her son and four girls; worked for Western Electric and was a floral designer for Michael's Arts and Crafts retiring in 2008 after 25 years of service. She enjoyed singing, especially while her husband played the piano. One of her favorite songs was, the Mary Lou Waltz that Don wrote just for her. She loved to travel with her family, and watching all of her grandkid's sporting events. Mary Lou loved her family so much and was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Wilhite; son Lyle (Linda) Crothers; daughter's Connie (Gary) Crothers Schmidt, April (Stephen) Wilhite Hinds, Miriam (Mike) Wilhite Rolles, and Marni (Todd) Wilhite Chiddister. 10 Grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
