Mary Ann Zike

Mary Ann Zike, 70, of Knightstown, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. She was born on February 29, 1956, in Beechgrove, Tennessee, and was the daughter of the late Theodore W. and Mable E. (Lavender) Barnette.

Mary graduated in 1974 from Howell High School. Following graduation, she built a career as an accountant in the healthcare industry where she worked for many years. Outside of her career she enjoyed bowling, camping, playing euchre, and spending time with her family. She was also a devoted member of the New Palestine Church of Christ. She will be remembered as a kind, compassionate woman, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her family first.

Mary is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rick L. Zike, whom she married on June 1, 1974, Danny Zike (Son), Kristi Zike (Daughter) and Jordan and Cheyanne Zike and Jayden Young (Grandchildren).

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Rice, Wilda Perkinson, and brother, David Barnette.
