Maureen Elizabeth (Gracie) Jackson, 81, Greenfield, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 3, 2025. Maureen was born on September 25, 1943, in Indianapolis, IN, the only child of James D. and Lowell C. (Rogers) Gracie. She is a 1961 graduate of George Washington High School, Indianapolis. On June 17, 1966, she married the love of her life, Maynard A. Jackson.
Prior to marriage, Maureen worked as a secretary for seven years for the Department of the Army at Fort Benjamin Harrison's Finance Center. As Maureen and Maynard settled down, they started a family. Maureen then left the Finance Center so that she could focus on raising their two children. The household was always bustling and Maureen loved seeing her children grow and her family prosper. She was always present in their lives. When twin granddaughters arrived, everything changed, as they had her wrapped around their little fingers. Her granddaughters were her world. Maureen also enjoyed being around animals, and cherished dogs the most. She was a faithful member of Lawrence Baptist Church in Indianapolis.
Maureen is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Maynard; their children, Cheryl (Brad) Lenser and Paul M. Jackson; twin granddaughters, Andrea Joy Lenser and Allison Elizabeth Lenser; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Norma & Bob Kahler; sister-in-law, Gracie Jackson; cousin, Sandy Lee; several nieces and nephews; and beloved dogs, Martha and Bo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Luther Murnan; brother-in-law Roger Jackson; brother-in-law Miller Jackson; and several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
