Maxie R. Lee, age 87 of Fortville passed away, Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Hancock Health, Suburban Hospice. He was born February 17, 1933 in Monroe County, KY to the late Stanley and Alma (Kidwell) Lee. Max was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved gardening and spending time with his family. He served in the U.S. Army as a tank commander from 1954-1956. Prior to his retirement he enjoyed a 35-year tenure with Western Electric as a line supervisor. He was a devoted member of Greenfield Church of Christ for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Juanita (Ford) Lee; children, Janice Richards, and Karen (Gene) Deno; grandchildren, Jason Richards, Jacob (Rachel) Richards, Drake Deno, Morgan (Kenny) Verrill and great grandchild Livia Verrill; 2 brothers, 3 sisters and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law Garry Richards, 2 brothers and 1 sister. In keeping with the family's wishes, all services will be private.
