Maxine Rittenhouse November 20, 1922 - January 8, 2013 Mary Maxine Rittenhouse, 90 of Greenfield passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Hancock Regional Hospice. She was born November 20, 1922 in Winter Haven, Florida to the late Charles E. and Alta P. (Jarrett) Huntzinger. She married Paul G. Rittenhouse on December 13, 1946. Maxine was a second grade teacher at Bloomfield Elementary in the Jay County School Corporation for twenty years prior to her retirement in 1978. She was a member of Browns Chapel Wesleyan Church and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Maxine is survived by her husband of 66 years, Paul G. Rittenhouse of Greenfield, son; Roger (Linda ) Rittenhouse of McCordsville, daughter; Donna Veller of Brooksville, FL., brothers; Earl Huntzinger of Ky., Dean Huntzinger of Charlottesville, Paul Huntzinger of Fl., and Larry Huntzinger of MN., sisters; Evelyn Raper of Pendleton, Betty Bodenhorn of Pendleton, Alta Mae Garner of Anderson and Marybelle Badgely of Fort Myers, FL. , three granddaughters and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by sisters; Mary Lou Moore and Lavon Ridge. Services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, January 11, 2013 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Friends may call from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hancock Regional Hospital, Hospice or Browns Chapel Wesleyan Church.
