Michael L. Payne April 20, 1948 - June 8, 2007 Michael L. Payne age 59 years, a resident of Greenfield passed away Friday afternoon June 8, 2007 at his residence. He was born April 20, 1948 in Anderson, Indiana and is the son of the late Emmett L. and Lydia Marie (Givens) Payne. He was a graduate of Anderson High School and worked for Navistar International Truck & Engine for 35 years. He was also the co-owner of Pattys Hoosier Connection Sports Bar. He was a member of the Shelbyville Masonic Lodge and York Rite of Indianapolis. He also served in the US Army for 3 tours in Vietnam and received the bronze star. He was a member of the Greenfield VFW and loved spending time with his Chihuahua, Tippsie. Survivors include his wife Patty (Wood) Payne whom he married on Dec. 18, 2001, daughter Stacy Molander of Fishers, step-daughters, Melissa Nugent, Shannon Craney both of Greenfield, sister, Leslie Hendricks; brother, Berry Payne of Anderson; 6 grandchildren, Brittney Payne, Megan Vandergrift, Kierstin Nugent, Wyatt Molander, Hayden Craney and Haylee Craney. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and a step-son, Troy M. Robbins. Funeral service will be Tuesday 1:00 p.m. at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
