Mildred L. Curtis March 7, 1923 - May 13, 2009 Mildred L. Curtis, 86, a resident of Maxwell, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Golden Living Center Brandywine. She was born March 7, 1923 in Knightstown, Indiana and was the daughter of the late George R. and Mary (Kender) Bowman. Mildred was a member of the Conservation Club, Eden E.O.S. #101 and was a homemaker and an avid bingo player. She is survived by four daughters, Barbara A. Curtis and Deborah (Ron) Martin both of Greenfield, Janna S. (Brian) Grubbs of Ludlow Falls, OH and Tammi L. (Daniel) Gassert of New Palestine; son, Marion D. (Judy) Curtis of New Palestine; brother, George Bowman of Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion D. Curtis, Sr and a great-grandchild, Vanessa Ann Reier. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday, May 18, 2009 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel with Pastor Sally Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the funeral service. She was a wonderful woman that I enjoyed spending time with a week in the summer. Enjoyed going to the bingo hall with her " and playing when I got older. Loved her cooking (especially her "ton cake as i called it) and visiting my Grandparents when I could. I deeply miss her but know that she is in a better place and is now with my Grandpa.
