Mildred Dean Fields, age 77 of Greenfield passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Hancock Regional Hospice Care in Greenfield. She was born on October 19, 1938 in Whitesburg, KY to the late Charlie and Edna J. (Niece) Collins.
Mildred graduated from Whitesburg High School and would later marry the love of her life Ray on June 8, 1960. Mildred was a devoted mother and homemaker for most of her life, and also a social studies teacher. Mildred was devoted member of the 1st Church of the Nazarene in Greenfield. She loved spending time with her family.
Surviving Mildred are her sons, Doug (Becky) Fields of Greenfield; Greg (Patty) Fields of Alaska; daughter, Dianna (Kevin) Lapack of Greenfield; brothers, Ted, William, John, and Stevin, sisters, Jean Brunty, Iva Fields, and Henrietta Evans. 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Ray who passed away in 1994.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W. Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with John & Ted Collins officiating. Burial will the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
