Minerva Jane (Caudill) Yonts

Minerva Jane Caudill Yonts died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, September 28th, 2025

Minerva was born on Little Cowan, KY on August 26, 1932 to Edison Caudill and Geneva Gibson Caudill. She was a member of Whitesburg HS class of 1950.

Minerva married Harold Russell Yonts on December 28th, 1955 and moved to Indianapolis, In and raised a family. Minerva was an excellent cook and loved her deserts. She worked for Warren Township as a cook for many years.

Minerva and Harold were active members of their church their whole lives. She loved any game- card games and board games and played to win. She loved to work in the garden and yard and always had pretty flowers. Minerva always remembered her Kentucky roots and never missed an opportunity to visit her parents and her family.

Minerva was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years and her parents. She is survived by her sons James Russell Yonts (Cindy), Ricky Allen Yonts, and Timothy Wayne Yonts (Jane). Grandchildren Amy Yonts, James Yonts ( Sarah), Jacob Yonts and Nicholas Yonts (Claire) and Great Grandson Jackson. She is also survived by her sister Anna Yonts ( Duane Yonts deceased), and brothers James Caudill ( Helen Caudill Deceased) and Edwin Caudill ( Barbara). And many, many nephews, nieces, cousins and her church family.

Services to be held 1 pm Friday, October 3rd at Letcher Funeral home in Whitesburg Ky with interment in Gibson cemetery on Little Cowan
