Miriam Durick November 22, 1925 - June 1, 2011
Miriam Durick, 85, a resident of Greenfield and formerly of Indianapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in Georgia.
She was born November 22, 1925, in Charleston, SC to the late James Shannon and Lessie Dyches Holly.
Miriam was a retired clerk for Hooks Drugs of Indianapolis, she attended Westland Friends Church and loved both, animals and flowers.
Surviving Miriam are sons, James (Cheryl) Durick of Greenfield, Charles Durick of Newnan, GA, Mark Durick of Indianapolis, Michael (Charlene) Durick of Pembroke Pines, FL, Douglas Durick of FL; grandchildren, Tim (Chasity) Durick of New Castle, Jeremy (Shawna) Durick of Greenfield, Jennifer (Derek) Gustin of Greenfield, Andrew and Anthony Durick both of Pembroke Pines, FL; 8 great grandchildren.
Miriam was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Durick; son, Robert Durick; sister, Betty Turner; brothers, J.S. Holly, Claude Morris and Charles Cecil Holly.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield with Rod Abram officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock County Humane Society, 214 East Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140.

Mark,Jimmy,Eddie,Mike,& Todd,We are so sorry about your Mom,our friend Miriam,what joy it was to have lived next door to Mariam for 30 some years.We had " fun and lot's of laughter.Your Mom was such a hard worker never missing a beat walking to work and walking home at night,I loved her flowers and her love for all of you boys you where her life.I will never forget when she told me she was going to be a grandma of a little girl her eye's lite up.She was a dear friend to my Mom Donna and my Dad Marvin,she would set on our porch in the summer and we could make her laugh.She loved all animals she had one dog Mason I will never forget.Miriam was the best cook and only she could make clothes smell so good i would always ask her how do you do that?Years ago Miriam took me on the bus downtown to see Hello Dolly,Miriam thank you for all memories you will be missed!!!Say hello to mom and dad Love to all the Family,Michele

Mom, I can't believe you're really gone, I just always thought you'd be here. You gave everything for us and never asked for anything in return. I wish I could have " hugged you one more time or taken out to eat just once more. I'm glad that you are finally at peace and are getting your well deserved rest. I love you mom and miss you so much.
