Monica Ann Kucan

Monica A. (Cole) Kucan, age 34 of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018. She was born on March 14, 1984 in Franklin, Indiana to Charles W. Cole II & Sherry (Lahrman) Stair. Monica graduated from Shelbyville High School in 2002 and continued her education at Purdue University, graduating in 2006 with her B.A. in Forensic Psychology & Sociology. Monica married Paul Kucan on January 19, 2013. Monica treasured her fur babies Brisco, Benny & Bossy. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, and get-togethers with her French Braid Mafia. Monica also cherished time spent with her family who she loved dearly. She was a devoted mental health advocate and was a board member/secretary for FUSE. Monica was passionate about her career as a skills development specialist at Adult & Child Mental Health Center. Left to cherish Monicas memory is her mother, Sherry Stair; step-father, Todd Stair; father, Charles W. "Chuck" (Jane) Cole II; step-father, Joe Rutherford; husband, Paul Kucan; brothers, Lucas (Rachel) Cole; C.W. Cole III (Emily Rigdon); Brenden Stair; sisters, Jordan Thomas; Mandy Smith; Allison Stair; grandmother, Linda Cole; grandfather, Jack Lahrman; grandparents Roy and Barb Stair; great-grandmother, Ramona Zollars; nephews, Grant, Owen, Remy & Calvin; niece Kinlee, several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Preceding Monica in death is her grandfather, Charles W. Cole I., grandmothers; Carol Lahrman & Linda Larhman and Uncle Craig Cole. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield, 46140. Monica will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville at a later date.
