Mrs. Willie Mae (Bentley) Polly

Willie Mae (Bentley) Polly, age 92, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025.

Willie Mae lived a life filled with love, faith, family, adventure, travel, and contentment. She was intentional about prioritizing what mattered most—making memories with the people she loved. When she loved you, she loved you with her whole heart and everything she had to give.

She was married to her high school sweetheart, Beryl Polly, on May 20, 1952, and together they shared a lifetime of devotion and partnership. Willie Mae grew up in Millstone, Kentucky, a place that always held a special place in her heart.

A woman of strong faith, Willie Mae was a longtime and devoted attendee of Mt Calvary Baptist Church in Acton, where she found community, comfort, and spiritual grounding throughout the latter part of her life.

Willie Mae was especially proud of her great-grandson, Harrison Marks, who brought her immense joy and pride.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of faith, love, and feistiness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Tom) Surface; granddaughter, Ashley Marks (Frank Laux); great-grandson, Harrison Marks; sister, Sharon Winningham; brothers-in-law, Ralph (Wilma) Polly and Jim Norman; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Beryl Polly; parents, Willie Bentley and Edna Bentley; brothers, Lenard Bentley and Teddy Bentley; sisters, Deloris Long, Lora Meade, Sadie Williams, and Janice Norman; sisters-in-law, Norma Collins and Jeri Blair; and brother-in-law, Glen Polly.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the funeral service immediately following, officiated by Chaplain Charlie Sawyer.
