Myrna Dee (Hendershott) Cook

Myrna Dee (Hendershott) Cook, age 80 of Greenfield passed away August 28, 2022, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born November 9, 1941, in Savannah, Illinois to the late Jacob and Mary (Hart) Hendershott. She is a 1960 graduate of Lawrence Central High School. Myrna was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, The Red Hat Society, the Singles and Agriculture Group and the Fortville VFW and American Legion. Myrna enjoyed training dogs, card games, traveling, and horses. She worked at AT&T for 40 years before retiring. She is survived by her loving daughters: Melinda Garner, Melanie (Kenny) Morgan, and Melissa (Wayne) Carmany; sisters, Aleta Woodard, Ruthie Varney, and Maureen Riggs; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and beloved dog, Zoey. Myrna is preceded in death by her parents and grandchildren: Jonathan Garner, Chad Allen Garner, and Douglas Polston. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. The service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Brackney officiating.
