Myrtle Frances York

Myrtle Frances York February 22, 1932 - December 27, 2010 Myrtle Frances York, 78, a resident of Carmel, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010 at St. Vincents Hospital, Carmel. She was born February 22, 1932 in Pender County, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late William Frazier and Myrtle (Parker) Chadwick. Myrtle worked for Marsh Supermarkets in the salad bar area for 15 years, was a longtime member of the Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis, loved God and was a homemaker. She is survived by daughter, Marie Baker of Noblesville; son, Kevin York of Carmel; granddaughters, Millie Baker, Elaine Gilligan, Stacey York and Jessica York; great-grandchildren, Allison and Adam Gilligan; sisters, Annie Sleigher of Hampton, VA; Norma Pridgen of Burgaw, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane A. York; son, Jerry York; daughter, Vicki York; 8 brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 8140 Union Chapel Road Indianapolis, IN 46240. Burial will follow at Washington Park North Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield.
