Naa Yemuokor Badger

Naa Yemuokor Badger, 34, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2021. She was born on May 25, 1987, in Accra, Ghana, to Daud Yemoh Badger and Veronica Amaah. Known as Mimi to some, Kiki to others, and Naa to others still - many names all for the same kind, loving young woman. She grew up in Accra, earning an Associates Degree from the University of Ghana, followed by a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi. Naa came to the United States in 2015 to further her education and explore new opportunities for her future. Landing in Minneapolis where one of her brothers lives, she was excited to learn about her new city. She earned her MBA from Augsburg University in 2020 while working in banking and mortgages at Wells Fargo. She became a US citizen on October 14, 2021, and was looking forward to the opportunity to travel. Naa had her feet firmly planted in two worlds. She lived and worked in Minneapolis, spending time with her brother and his wife and sister-in-law, her cousin, and friends around the US. She also stayed very closely connected with her mother, brother, sister, and many other family members and friends in Ghana. She loved video calling with her family and friends near and far. Naa had a big heart and cared deeply about the well-being of those around her. Her faith was strong, and she loved praying with her mother, sister, and brother-in-law over Zoom. Naa is survived by her mother Veronica, brother Nii Odoi & nephew Nii Yemoh, sister Barbara (David), brother Nii Tetteh (Becca), cousin Nii Narku, and many other cousins and extended family. Naa was preceded in death by her father Daud Yemoh. Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Friday, January 7, 2022, in the Chapel of Calvary Cemetery with burial immediately following.
