Orville A Thorsteinson

Orville A. Thorsteinson February 5, 1930 - February 4, 2013 Orville A. Thorsteinson, 82 years, a resident of Greenfield passed away Monday February 4, 2013 at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice. He was born February 5, 1930 in Edinburg, North Dakota to the late Valdimar J. & Anna M. (Jonasson) Thorsteinson. He worked in accounting for GMAC, Merrillville, Ind., and retired Sept. 1, 1984 after 35 years. He attended Park Chapel Christian Church, served in the US Army during the Korean War, was a member of the American Legion Post 119, a devoted, husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Elaine (Petry) Thorsteinson of Greenfield, whom he married on June 10, 1951, daughters, Susan L. Johnson of Brainerd, Minn., Sandra R. Janis of Davidson, North Carolina, Paula J. Baldwin of New Palestine, Ind., sister, Mae Heideman of Medford, Ore., six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters and 3 brothers. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2013 at Park Chapel Christian Church, Greenfield with Pastor David Woods officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield.
