Patricia J. Lukanty December 7, 1929 - April 13, 2010 Patricia J. Lukanty, 80, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Regency Place Nursing Home, Greenfield. She was born December 7, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. She worked in the home health care industry, attended the First Church of the Nazarene, volunteered at the Good Shepherd Home, a member of the Mental Health Association and the Ladies Day Out Group. She is survived by a cousin, Judy (George) Stanger of Greenfield and their dog, Scruffy. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chet. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1980 South State Street Greenfield, IN 46140. I had the privelege of being Patricia's mailman for the better part of 5 years. She was such a big helper to me when it came " to making sure the mail got to the right person when we first met. Over time we shared stories and smiles and I always marveled how this little woman was just so full of life. Even though this past year was filled with difficult moments, Patricia always had a smile for me when I came in and told me "I'm going to beat this." I believed her because she was such a fighting spirit and I know that she did get past this pain. I will miss her stories of Chicago and the quick wit I came to enjoy.
