Patricia Ann (Martin) Thom

Patricia Ann Thom, age 75 of Fountaintown passed away February 1, 2022, in Greenfield. She was born September 24, 1946, in Shelbyville, IN to the late Russell and Ada (Fry) Martin. She received her bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Indiana Central College in 1968 and taught at both IPS and Triton School Corporation. Pat grew up in the Sugar Creek Methodist Church and during her lifetime also attended Burge Terrace Baptist and the Free Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis prior to attending Faith Baptist Church of Morristown. Pat was an elementary Sunday School teacher for many years. Pat had many interests and stayed active within her communities including, secretary of the Southeast Way Park of Indianapolis, bowling league, gardening, and was also a school bus driver for Shelby County Schools and Indianapolis Public Schools. Pat was a social butterfly and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her children, Ann (Joseph) Miller and John (Tarah) Thom; grandchildren, Justin, Isaac and Samuel Miller, Hailey Condry, Micah, and Brianna Thom; siblings, Dwane Martin and Juanita Grant. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph Thom. Funeral service 10:00 am Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Scott officiating. Burial immediately following at New Palestine Cemetery.
