Patricia Anne (Allinder) Whitacre February 7, 1932 - March 18, 2011 Patricia Anne (Allinder) Whitacre, 79, a resident of Greenfield, went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born February 7, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Austin J. and Marjorie (Burnett) Allinder. Patricia was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. She was a member of the Wallace Street Womens Circle, Trinity Park United Methodist Church, Trinity Parks Jessie Dorsey Circle and the Indiana Bell Pioneers. Patricia was known for her strong Christian faith. She was christened as a child and immersed into baptism in 1987. She was a friendly, feisty woman of many interests and talents, a wonderful wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children; Debra (Doug) Crall of Indianapolis; Carolyn Ann (Randy) Nickerson of Greenfield; Kirk (Kathy) Whitacre of Ft. Myers, FL; Nancy Lynn (Tim) Kugler of Spring, TX; and John David Whitacre of Ft. Myers, FL; 11 grandchildren, 5 great- grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Suzie Whitacre. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, 3 months and 11 days, Mark Benton Whitacre in 2010; son Roger Lee Whitacre in 1999; siblings, Jean Hoon, Richard Allinder and Sarah Reinert. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Trinity Park United Methodist Church, 207 W. Park Ave. Greenfield, IN 46140 with Rev. Michael Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call Monday, March 21, 2011 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield.
