Paul F. Meek, 88, Knightstown, passed away on November 24, 2024, at Brickyard Brandywine in Greenfield. Paul was born on September 9, 1936, in Greenfield, to Lester and Irene (Matheson) Meek.
Paul worked on the press line in Greenfield at the Greenfield Reporter for many years before they sold nationally. He then transitioned to Detroit Steel in Morristown working as a foreman. He retired when the company closed. After retirement, Paul became an avid repairman of antique clocks. He was a member of the National Clock Repairman Society. He loved to attend auctions. He was also an avid hunter and was once known to enjoy fishing.
Paul is survived by his children: Paula Corbin of Campbellsville, KY, Jon (Lisa) Meek of Greenfield, Gary (Susan) Meek of Greenfield, Robert Meek of Greenfield, and Fawn Minchin of Greenfield; sisters: Doris Coplin, Roberta Price, and Mary Kay (James) Farmer; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Meek (wife, Candy); daughter, Dawn Meek; brothers: Marvin Meek, Jerry Meek, Kenny Meek, and Richard Meek; special cousin, Morris Meek, Jr; son-in-law, James Minchin; and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Meek.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery.
