Paula Elaine (Strubbe) Hammond

Paula Elaine (Strubbe) Hammond, 78, of Greenfield passed away December 7, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 30, 1945, in Greenfield to the late Ralph E. and Norma N. (Caplinger) Strubbe. Paula was a graduate of Hancock Central High School. She married Donn Hammond on January 13, 1968. Together they made their home and raised their family in Greenfield.

Paula attended Trinity Park UMC and was active in M & M's Circle Group and Joyful Heirs Chorus. She was a volunteer at the Pregnancy Crisis Center and the secretary for the Curry's Chapel Cemetery Association for many years. Paula spent many years as a homemaker and prior to her retirement as the receptionist at Torok Family Chiropractic Clinic for 17 years.

She is survived by her daughters: Lori (Bill) Gossett, Penny Burgess, and Darla (Hammond) McQueen; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ralph (E.) Strubbe.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donn Hammond; and granddaughter, Christina Kellermeier.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service immediately following, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Curry's Chapel Cemetery, Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation at 1-877-465-6636.
