Pearl L. Casey July 13, 1927 - April 10, 2008 Pearl L. Casey, 80, a resident of Shelbyville formerly of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Heritage House Convalescent Center, Shelbyville. She was born July 13, 1927 in Rushville to the late Sherman and Edna (Palmer) Safewright. She worked as a hostess for several years at the Durbin Hotel in Rushville, she was a desk clerk at the previous Holiday Inn in Shelbyville, and she was a homemaker. She is survived by son, Jim (Donna) Casey of Shelbyville; brother, Sherman "Bob" (Beverly) Safewright of Greensburg; sister, Francis Norris of Rushville; grandchildren, Doug, Shelli, and Shana; six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert N. Casey, February 3, 1997; brothers, Fred, Frank, Roy, Max, Bill, Orville, Russell, and Earl Safewright; sisters, June Ellen Safewright and Dorothy Beecraft. Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008 at Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville with Steve Ray officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield.
